Who is a responsible man
People according to their death mindset quickly think a responsible man is the one that can effortlessly pay all the bills in the house, to the society especially African settings, that is a good man or an husband material. 

An irresponsible man to God is a man who is did not know or walking according to his assignment,God has saddled everyone with a responsibility once you're in the kingdom, because there is no idle man there,He will give you a duty posts and what you will be responsible for, in your  at your duty post. See what God told Adam and Eve; Genesis  1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 

Their duty is to be fruitful,multiply,replenished and subdue the earth, likewise also we are to do the same in any sphere of influence He sent us. That is our responsibility. So walking according to what is written in the volume of your books and carrying out your life assignment shows you're responsible, we have men around us who to folks in the world are responsible but to God they are irresponsible. So as a lady a man did not have a duty post in the kingdom, no life assignment, no vision, his life has no definition he  just fit in by default to the standard of this world but because he has enough fund to buy you things, you concluded he is a responsible man, that is death in disguise.

God does not have irresponsible children in His quiver,every believer has his or her own book with his or her assignment engrafted therein. Hear what Jesus told the disciples; Matthew  28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 
He told them to "go to nations, baptizing  in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to teach men what He had commanded them" that is the responsibilities He gave to them,so if they did not do or act accordingly,to Him,they are IRRESPONSIBLE and the disciples actually did exactly what He told them. The same way the Lord assigned us to teach and baptise men into kingdom truth in all spheres of influence. 

When Jesus gave the parable of a man travelling to a far country,he gave his servants different number of gifts to trade with and bring increase, and he gave them the gifts according to their capacity and went straightaway to the journey so on getting back the responsible ones had trade with their gifts and gain more while the one he gave only a gift went to bury his own, he buried his assignment; Matthew  25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

So the man that buried his gift is an irresponsible man,and the gift was collected from him and given to the one with ten gifts and was cast down to the place where there is gnashing of teeth.

Sister, before you follow that man,check, is he a responsible son of the kingdom, does he have an assignment, does he has a duty posts in the body where he functions effectively. We have so many families around that are irresponsible, they are not doing anything for the Lord,they live their live anyhow yet the society hail them,you need to have a rethink before you waste your life. 

It takes a responsible man to get a responsible wife to marry. Adam and eve were responsible to keep the garden of Eden, Moses was responsible to go for the deliverance of children of Israel from Pharaoh Our Lord Jesus was responsible to deliver the world from sin Apostle Paul was saddled with the responsibility of turning the gentiles to the Lord. Hear him talk to King Agrippa concerning his responsibility; Acts  26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. To tell him how serious he was in his responsibility; Acts  26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: 

Many actually got their duty posts but abandoned it because of what shall we eat and they end of wasting away. The enemy subtly lure them away and they missed it. Hear the Lord Jesus speaking here; Luke  12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 
1. Knowing the will of your Master 2. Not preparing to do it 3. You shall be beating with many stripes. The reason why many are beating with different types of stripes is because they are irresponsible to their assignment. 

Many families are been beating with financial stripes and perpetual lacks because of irresponsibility Some guys only have enough cash but not responsible for the spiritual health of their family and they think they are doing well,how will you just be cash dispenser and somebody else is responsible for the spiritual upkeep of your children. This is Sad.

6 Confusing verses in the bible that needs clarification

1. ECCLESIASTES 7:16
“Be not righteous over much; neither be thou foolish; why shouldest thou die before thy time?”
This portion of the Bible has brought about different kinds of controversies and questions. With reference to this verse, the bible says we shouldn’t be over righteous, does it mean we can be committing a sin but not always?.

 Or does it mean that there are things we can accept or overcome without tagging it as sin. This portion of the Bible is quiet confusing because, the same Bible, Jesus Christ stated  “be yea perfect for your who is in heaven is perfect”.

Now what do we have to do I this context, where do we put our faith because there is no small sin, Sin is Sin.

2. ECCLECIASTES 7:20
“For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”
What do we have to say about this, that there is no just ma I earth that sinneth not. New Translation Version of the Bible stated it this way “For there is no righteous man on earth who always does good ad never sins.”


So who will go to heaven?, if there is no man that does good always, that means everyone on earth even the Holy men of God have to sin or commit sin everytime to time?. In my own opinion I have come to conclude that, yes one can be a sinners at anytime but there is now a provision for the grace of God and for us to be conscious of our life, to know when we have sinned, also we should ask God to give  us the grace to be pure at the point when the trumpet will sound.

3. ECCLESIASTES 10:5-6
“For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything, neither have  they any more reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Verse 6 “ Also, their love , their hatred and their envy is now perished; neither have they more a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun.

With reference to this passage, one will say that there is no need for burial ceremony, jubilating and wasting resources because the dead has no feeling. 

The experiences we got when a person spirit keeps troubling the household is because the fetish beliefs in the household. Let’s look at the western world, they perform a burial ceremony without any noise or purchasing of items used to feed people in the name of  burial ceremony.
The bible has given us a reason to deviate from the extravagant attitude which we use to celebrate the death.

4. 1CORINTHIANS 6:2-3
“Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Verse 3: "Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?"


My emphasis in this context is on verse 3, how will we judge the angels, when stumbled with such Rhetorical question asked in the Bible, one becomes stumped on what to answer, because the imagination is wide. God has already stated somewhere in the Bible that “ye are small gods” so obviously does that mean, that’s the reason for the statement Made above?.

5. 1CORINTHIANS 14:34-35
“Let your women keep silence In the churches for it is not permitted unto them to speak but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
Verse 35 “ And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home, for it is a shame for women to speak in Church."

This is a very debating passage which we need to talk about, in this verses of the Bible, there is a condemnation on women speaking in the Church. So what do we say about our female leaders in the church. This days, General Overseers are women, Women now appear on the Altar on a regular.

6. Luke 16:9 & 13
“One will ask what is MAMMON? Mammon are those that have Unrighteous riches. Does it mean that we should make friends with those commits all Atrocities to gain riches? If it is Yes, Why is it still stated in Verse 13 “ye cannot serve God and mammon”

Please this listed portion of the Bible above are researched questions which some believers, unbelievers, back sliders have asked in respect of their faith. There is need for us to study the world of God and to be sure of the right path.

For  all the single men and ladies: Knowing who to marry.
Marriage tips
Today's article is God's answer to the singles heart cry to know God's will for marriage. I will be speaking more on that next week. This is just the first part in these series. I am trying hard not to be scholastic about it. I want you to have your own spiritual experience at the end of the day, and not just leave you "dogmatized". Today's article is a lengthy one, please accept my apologies in advance. It's very, very simple to know God's will for marriage. You don't have to be scared of love, relationship or marriage at all. God's got your back covered and this article will truly bless you. Believe me. 

Now let me show you how: To know God's will for marriage starts with an individual having a very close relationship with God and the ability to hear Him. Being a child of God, as good as it's, isn't enough. Growing in a personal relationship with Him and hearing Him when He speaks makes all the difference. God speaks to all of us DAILY. Unfortunately, only those with spiritual ears can hear whenever He is speaking. 

Another challenge encountered by many singles with respect to hearing God's voice is confusion. Some actually hear His voice, but are in doubt whether He is the One speaking to them. Some will say, "A voice told me to do this..." or "My heart told me to do this or that" or "My mind told me not to travel that day but I still did and I had a motor accident that day" Most times the voice you hear in your spirit man is God's. He is the one speaking to you, but you're not yet used to His voice. 

In Psalms 23, David referred to God as the Shepherd, consequently referring to himself as a sheep. A sheep is trained to know and hear the voice of his Shepherd. That's the only way to be led. Father God is our Shepherd and we His children are the sheep. 

In John 10:1-5 Jesus reiterated that same truth about hearing God's voice by using the example of the sheep. Other passages in the Bible show that God speaks to all. But you must listen and have the trained ears to hear from God in the first place. In 2002 haven rounded off my theological training in Benin City, Edo State, one thing I desired so much was the ability to hear God directly whenever He speaks. From biblical scriptures we are often advised to be spiritual and be in the Spirit because no one can truly hear God in the flesh, that is, when they're doing or saying things that are ungodly, unholy, immoral, distasteful or disgusting. No man can hear God that way. 

You can only hear God when a spiritual atmosphere has been created in your spirit man. So one night in the room where I slept I prayed and told God that I wanted to hear from Him directly henceforth, that I was tired of just reading the letters of the Bible without hearing His voice. Friends, it was really a burning desire in my heart. I slept that night as usual with my roommate and I told God to speak to me that night. Around 2.am or so a big but reassuring voice calling my name "Joshua!", "Joshua!" woke me up. At first I was confused, not knowing who actually spoke. I stood up and checked almost every other course mate, but noticed that nobody was awake by that time. Who then spoke to me? I didn't know and I returned to my room to continue sleeping. As soon as I climbed the bed, the same voice called my name again and said it was God. That was how for the first time in my life I started hearing God's voice directly. I have been enjoying that experience ever since. 

In 2009 when I first met the lady who is now my wife, I knew it from the first meeting because God spoke to me and I heard him clearly. So the issue of knowing God's will for my marriage was settled that very moment on the spot. I didn't have to pray anymore. I just waited for her to pray and hear from God too just as I did. Friends, in 2019 you must hear God regarding your love life henceforth. Please no more trial and error exercise with your love relationship. No more confusion regarding God's will for marriage. No more desperation because those who truly hear God are never desperate to marry.

Lastly, I must say that God's word, the Bible, is our primary source for knowing God's will for marriage. Our choice for a spouse shouldn't be in contradiction with the Bible. A child of God has no business dating or marrying an unbeliever. That's the first step into God's will for marriage. Please beware as not everyone who goes to church is truly saved or is a marriage material, OK? God speaks to us too through the still, little voice of the Spirit like I shared above. 
God also speaks to us through visions, dreams, trances, prophecies, signs and human agents (a believer in Christ, pastor, prophet, etc). 
Whichever way God speaks to you, please pay attention and listen. Heed to God's voice as that can save you from a lifetime of marital unhappiness, believe me. 

In conclusion, many singles, especially single ladies often pretend not to have heard from God regarding a marriage proposal from a brother because they think he doesn't have enough for now. Ladies, money is not only the criterion for choosing a spouse. You must be spiritual and must prayerfully choose. I will advise all the singles still searching to do like me: Live a godly life first; that's the starting point for a great personal relationship with God. Be spiritual and be in the Spirit often (remember you're not just a natural being. You're also a spiritual being see (Galatians 5:16). Desire to know God like never before. Desire earnestly in prayer to hear God's voice. Grow your relationship with God. Train yourself to hear God. When all these are achieved, like it was with me in 2009, knowing God's will for your marriage will be a very easy thing for you to do.

Alcohol has been a part of rituals, celebrations and medicine from olden days. If Alcohol has brought much joy to man, it has also brought much sorrowing and suffering especially to victims of rape (68% of victims asked in a very wide poll by this author for another work said the rapists had alcohol smell in their breath).
Types of wine

Alcohol has also brought much suffering to victims of drunk drivers, wives, husband and children of people who drink heavily. A little alcohol now and then may do no harm, but much often, unwary drinkers fall into its powerful grip and a little leads to a lot. It is a colorless liquid that can cause drunkenness.

Alcohol beverages contain ethyl Alcohol which is depressant and a drug that slows down the work of the nervous system. As a depressant, Alcohol slows down various brain functions.

Even though alcohol provides calories that the body can use for energy, pure alcohol does not belong to any of the four basic food groups because it contains no nutrients. Most beer has about 4% alcohol, wine usually has between 12% and 14%. Wines like sherry and Vermouth have more than 12% and 14% alcohol. They are called fortified wine.

 THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER
Alcohol comes from two Arabic words “el gohoul” meaning “The great evil spirit.” Scripture calls it “a woe, a mocker, a defiler” etc. how then can anyone make a case in favour of alcohol?
The case against Alcohol and Alcoholism cannot be defended with any “logical conclusion”  in favour of it. Alcohol is dangerous to health and we will do well to keep off it.
The bible has no complimentary statements in favour of alcohol but calls it by many negative names: a mocker:
“wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise” (Proverb 20:1).

-Woe: “Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at wine night till they are inflamed with wine” “Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks” I didn’t say this myself it is stated in Holy bible (Isaiah 5:11 and 22).
Proverbs 23:29, 35, exposes the disgraceful effects of Alcohol:
“who has Woe? Who has sorrow? Who has blood shot eyes? Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine…. Do not gaze at wine when it is red…when it goes down smoothly! In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper. Your eye will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things.”
Lastly, even though the list of uncomplimentary statements about alcohol is inexhaustible in this work, we are told that it defiles in Daniel 1:8.
  “ but Daniel resolved not to defile himself with royal food and wine….”
We are warned not to use  wine to copy the place where the Holy Spirit dwells in Ephesians 5:18.
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead be filled with the spirit.”
The overseer is commanded not to given too much. That Christians would make a case in favour of alcohol based on 1Timothy 5:23 was the one great shock I received as a new convert.

Dear reader, when you put all the woes and negative statements about alcohol on a mortal evaluation scale alongside the perceived positive in 1Tim. 5:23, judge for yourselves, in kilogrammes, which weighs more?

The Bible admonishes in Philippians 4:8 …”whatever is lovely…admirable…excellent or praise worthy think about such things.”
If Alcohol is the “great evil spirit,’ then it is w was an evil spirit which took possession of men who consumed it. The result was that there were no longer their own masters. “…it bites like a snake… your eyes will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things, “Proverbs 23:23 affirms.

If therefore alcohol were admirable, so many negative and uncomplimentary statements would not be made about it in the pages of scripture!
Is Alcohol a lovely, admirable, excellent, praise-worthy thing to think upon? Judge for yourselves, for I rest my case.
