The Fall – A Life of Robbery and Darkness
I was born into hardship, and life hardened me quickly. To survive, I turned to stealing. What started as small thefts grew into armed robbery.
I lived for quick money, power, and fear. But the emptiness only grew. Every night, when silence came, I felt the weight of my sins pressing against my chest.
The Consequences – Fear, Arrests, and Shame
The streets seemed exciting at first, but soon, I became a slave to fear. Each robbery brought risks — betrayal from friends, the fear of police, and even death at the hands of rivals.
I lost relationships. People only saw me as a criminal. Deep inside, I wondered if God could ever love someone like me.
The Turning Point – An Encounter with Christ
One night, after narrowly escaping arrest, I was broken. I stumbled into a small church meeting, drawn by the sound of worship.
The preacher said: “Even the thief on the cross found mercy in his dying moments. Your story isn’t over until Jesus writes the last chapter.”
Those words pierced me. That night, I fell to my knees and cried, “Lord, forgive me! I don’t want this life anymore!”
Redemption – A New Life in Christ
Jesus did not turn me away. Instead, He washed me clean. From that moment, the desire for robbery, violence, and quick money began to die in me.
Today, I am no longer a robber — I am a redeemed child of God. My life now is dedicated to helping others who feel trapped in crime know that freedom is possible in Christ.
As the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
